PLAY-OFF GAME RULES

Regular Competition

The rules in their simplified format will be used in the regular competition of Play-Offs rounds and the official final championship of the website www.rockmusiccards.com.

The results of the competitions conducted under the arbitration of Rock Music Cards will be uploaded and updated periodically on the website.

The rules in their simplified competition format between Rock Music Cards are based on the confrontation of 5 numerical ratings, each one included by every card, up to a maximum of 5 points and not less than 1 point:

  • RMC vs RMC → The card with the higher rating scores 1 point. In the case of a tie, where values are equal, neither card scores points.
  • AVG vs AVG → The card with the higher rating scores 1 point. In the case of a tie, where values are equal, neither card scores points.
  • RYM vs RYM → The card with the higher rating scores 1 point. In the case of a tie, where values are equal, neither card scores points.
  • DSC vs DSC → The card with the higher rating scores 1 point. In the case of a tie, where values are equal, neither card scores points.
  • Year vs Year → The card with the lower year of album publication value scores 1 point. In the case of a tie, where values are equal, neither card scores points.

In case of a tie after these 5 ratings values, it proceeds to the tiebreaker round.

Tiebreaker Round

1st Tiebreaker Round

The card with the higher value corresponding to the AVG Rating scores 1 point to force the tiebreaker.

In case of a double tie due to an equal value of AVG Rating, both cards score 1 point and proceed to the 2nd tiebreaker round.

2nd Tiebreaker Round

To break the draw in the second tiebreaker round, the total value of the 4 ratings of RMC + AVG + RYM + DSC will be summed.

The card with the higher value resulting from the total sum of its 4 rating values scores an additional 1 point to win the tiebreaker.

In an extraordinary case of a triple tie after 2 rounds due to equal values of AVG Rating after obtaining the same numerical result from the total sum of ratings, both cards again score 1 point.

3rd Extraordinary Tiebreaker Round

In an extraordinary case of a triple tie, it will be resolved in a final sudden-death tiebreaker round using a "coin toss" game. Each card will choose between heads or tails to win the match.

The winner of the sudden death, following the "coin toss", additionally scores an extraordinary final point to conclude the tiebreaker round.
